Science Fair

The Science Fair is a decades-old Fairlands tradition and a celebration of our students' passion for science!

Families can view science fair projects on the night of Open House, Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 6:30-7:30 in the Multi Purpose Room.   Projects will be turned in and set up on Tuesday, May 16.

Participation is optional for K-4th grade students and students can do one of 5 types of projects: an experiment, model, collection, observation or invention.   Students who wish to do a project need only have parental permission.  Please see PINK handbook that was sent home or the link below.

Every 5th grader will do an individual experiment as a Science Fair Project.  Students present proposals to Mrs. Holder as a way to ensure they are on the right track to properly include the steps of the scientific method with a measurable, testable question.  Please see GREEN packet given to all 5th graders for proposal information or the link below.
