Friday, May 31st.
- PUSD has a page which includes information that is of ongoing interest to the
community, such as health issues, free/reduced lunch, dress code, bike safety,
etc. found here. For organizations that may be local to Fairlands, we have created a
Community Bulletin Board to house district-approved fliers. We will feature the
page when new fliers get posted in the Fairlands Flyer Weekly e-mails.

- EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION CREATED THROUGH PPIE TO HELP
CLOSE THE GAP FOR DISTRICT PROGRAMS - An educational foundation has been created through PPIE to help supplement and
close the gap for district programs that are usually up for cuts based on the
fluctuation of the state budget. Specific areas for funding are being determined
currently, but will touch on the following areas: Literacy & Student Support; Science
& Technology Arts, Health & Well Being.

providing financial support for essential programs and services that are at risk

Education Initiative Launches Signature Drive
- The Our Children Our Future 2012 campaign and the California State PTA have
launched a signature-gathering drive to secure a spot for this education initiative
