The Fairlands PTA holds various events throughout the year. A big misconception is that PTA
is all about fundraising. The Fairlands PTA is focused on creating a strong sense of
community among our staff, parents and students. Many events do require an admission,
ticket or food price, but these fees only cover the basic cost to hold those events. Any monies
that are made as profit, are given right back to the school in one of the many educational
resources such as direct classroom support, direct academic support, library resources,
technology, hospitality, community builder programs and educational departments and
programs.
Events that we hold annually are Welcome Back Coffee, Ice Cream Social, the Fall Festival,
Art Night, Holiday Store, Holiday Breakfast, Talent Show, Family Fun Night, Multicultural
Night, Science Fair, and Teacher Appreciation events.

Fundraising Programs

Check back often for the most recent Fundraising effort listed here. So far this year, Fairlands
has had their annual Fall Gift Wrap fundraiser, the Firestone Photography event and Spirit
Sales and the Mixed Bags reusable bags. Stay tuned for more FUN and FUND raiser events.

On Going Programs

Did you know that you can donate to Fairlands' school directly through
the PTA or create donations without an extra dime out of your pocket?
Direct Donations
If you would like to make a donation to the PTA to be used for the school, technology or
educational programs, please complete the donation area on the membership form.
eScrip
Fairlands PTA could potentially earn well over $50,000 by simply grocery shopping. It is as
simple as registering your family (relatives and neighbors, too) in free eScrip Rebate
Programs. Major supermarkets, like Safeway, donate 2-4% of your quarterly grocery
spending back to Fairlands. Simply go to www.escrip.com and enter Fairlands Parent
Teacher Association ID# 141538060 to register your Safeway Club card and other credit

Box Tops
The Box Tops for Education program allows you to earn cash for Fairlands every time you
buy groceries. All you have to do is save Box Top coupons from hundreds of various products
that you use every day. Turn these small coupons in to the Fairlands office collection box or
to your teacher. Product manufacturers send Fairlands 10 cents for each Box Top coupon

On-Going Recycling
Bring your empty, rinsed and crushed aluminum cans and "CA Cash Refund" #1 and #2
plastics to our school collection center located near the bike rack. On Wednesdays, there will
be collection bins out in front of the MPR, front office and the Kindergarten area for your

Innisbrook Gift Wrap
Our Fall Fundraising Campaign will begin in early September. Check Friday folders for the

Mixed Bags
Mixed Bags was such a huge hit last year, we are continuing with brand new designs (even
masculine designs!). Watch Friday folders for more details.
Fairlands Elementary PTA is committed to Going Green by helping "Save the Earth...One
Bag at a Time" and offer reusable, recyclable, environmentally friendly bags in various
fashion prints and colors. (After all, reusable doesn't have to be ugly!)
The bags come in a variety of colors and patterns, so be sure to check your wardrobe for the
